GAME MASTER

Perhaps the worst of the Game Boy's numerous "competitors", this handheld with its tiny collection of only 16 games was released under several different names, in many different colours in many different territories.
In France it was the Videojet Game Master. In Germany, Hartung took up the reigns, while in the UK it was rechristened the Systema 2000.
Its bizarrely angled and widely mocked control pad is actually fairly ergonomic for play, with your thumb resting naturally in this posture in the same way that has influenced the button layout of numerous other handhelds.
Unfortunately there is little that can redeem one of the worst quality screens ever made and the kind of screechy SFX and "music" that would make even Tiger's Game.com blush.
